I am overwhelmed by the generosity of Bill Marshall and Signature Roofing. I have had a slow leak into my master bedroom and couldn't locate my original roofing contractor because they had moved. Bill Marshall came out and gave a look: roof looks good, maybe problem was an ice dam. So he took time to explain in detail about ice dams. Two years later the roof is leaking more and more and no ice.....Again a house call and Bill checks the roof, finds it sound, but finds a problem with the metal work on the chimney. He took several photos (later emailed them to me) to show me the possible trouble and tells me to call a chimney repair person. Chimney Dr. says the problem was exactly what Mr. Marshall said. Fixed it for $75. The charge for all Bill Marshall's time and expertise...plus two trips up on my roof. Nothing. This has got to be the greatest company in the area. Thanks Bill. You are the white knight of the year!

Bill Marshall and his crew from Signature Roofing did a first class job on our new roof. We got several estimates for the job--all of them from companies that received the check rating in Consumer Checkbook magazine. Even in the estimate phase, Bill went way above and beyond the norm by patiently explaining our options in detail and answering our many questions. He was open and honest in explaining what options would benefit us and which really weren t needed. Between that and his reasonably-priced estimate and the absolutely superb job that he did, we feel that we got a fantastic deal on high-end craftsmanship. Bill was particularly adept at explaining color options and how to choose roof and gutter colors that would complement our brick and trim colors. The end result is a much more unified color palette and a classier-looking home. The work was done efficiently and on time. Bill was on-site all the time and kept us informed of progress and answered our questions as the work progressed! We highly recommend Signature Roofing!

We received five quotes on our new roof before deciding to go with Bill Marshall from Signature Roofing. We received our last estimate from Bill and we are glad we waited since Signature Roofing provided the lowest quote. While Bill gave us the lowest quote for the job, I can't imagine receiving better service and advice from any other roofing company. Bill consistently showed a willingness to answer all of our questions and agreed to modify the final contract on a couple of occasions to cover all the provisions we wanted to see in writing. Instead of rushing to complete the job, Bill showed extreme patience waiting for perfect weather conditions before proceeding with the installation of our roof. The final roof was installed exactly as promised and looks great. Thanks so much for an outstanding job!!!

We had Signature replace our roof a year ago, but I didn't feel writing a review a few days after the job was done would be an appropriate time to adequately review the work. Well, a year has now passed and I can honestly say we're very happy with the job Bill and his crew did. Through a year of mowing and raking we've never found a single nail or a single piece of shingle in the yard or garden. Great job by Bill and the folks at Signature!

We decided to have our roof and gutters replaced by Signature Roofing based on a neighbor's recommendation and a high rating in Consumers Checkbook. It was the best decision we could have made. Throughout the process, owner Bill Marshall was informative, helpful, and always available to answer questions. His estimate for the job was accurate, he began and completed the work by the date promised, his work was excellent, and his price was very reasonable. He himself was onsite while the work was being performed by his capable and courteous crew. Their clean-up was thorough. Several of our acquaintances who used other roofers have complained or had to have their work redone. With Signature Roofing, the customer can rely on superior performance the first time around. We would unhesitatingly recommend Signature to anyone.

It is not easy to find the right roofer who will repair one's existing roof put on by the builder. We are so glad to have chosen Signature Roofing - of course after comparing proposals. At the time I thought the price was steep. Having seen how Ronnie treated our roof, took care of the repair and clean-up, we feel confident we picked the right company. By the way, a roofing company which will not give you warranty for their work - or only for "the next rain" - has no chance to earn our trust. Signature Roofing gave warranty on workmanship! Bill Marshall came out to look at the faulty roof area and explained why the leaks could have happened and explained what he/his company would do to fix it once and for all. Bill Marshall and his crew are awesome! First, Bill Marshall makes arrangements to meet you and explains everything fully and completely. And if you didn't understand the first time he'll explain it again. The patience of a saint. When his bid came in it was so reasonable, but besides that we just knew from other roofers we had spoken with, that there was no need to look further. We had complete trust and reliability in Signature. We were so right! They showed up when they said they would. They took a day to install and did a wonderful job (I was onsite the entire time) and Bill was onsite the entire time. That is what impressed us both. That the owner took his time to be there to make sure the job was done correctly the first time. We couldn't be happier with our roof. They also cleaned up afterwards and left nothing behind for us to do except enjoy looking at a new roof and a job well done! So our rating is the best of the best! We had to get our roof and gutters replaced and so my husband and I had gotten a number of estimates from local roofing contractors - Pond, Katchmark, Northern VA Roofing and Signature. We would have had to sell our only child in order to afford the first two companies. With the third, the main contact, Ryan, never returned our calls. With the last, Signature, we thought it was too good to be true, but went with them anyway. Bill Marshall was awesome! He returned all of our annoying phonecalls in a timely manner. He explained every aspect of the job quite thoroughly. When the roof and gutter system were done, we discovered that he had even gone way beyond our expectations! His crew had been on time, cleaned up well, and worked tirelessly. I would hire Bill and his crew to put a roof on my treehouse, dog house, heck - even an outhouse! They are that good! By the way I am a real person and not some family member trying to drum up business for Signature. I will definitely recommend this company to my neighbors and friends and I'd dare say... even to my enemies!

A very professional proposal package was received containing optional materials. I was able to upgrade and add skylights and remain within my budget. Bill was in constant contact with me giving me updates on when the work would begin (due to a rainy spring). The work was completed on time with excellent clean-up. Value Roofing was recommended to me by several of my neighbors. Every one of them had nothing but the highest comments of praise for the quality of workmanship. I contacted Bill Marshall about giving me a bid for doing my roof. He was at my house later that very day and spent over an hour looking at my roof and evaluating the repairs that might be needed, such as: replacing damaged plywood and skylight. The other companies we had contacted for bids only spent an average of 10 to 15 minutes.I received the official bid from Value Roofing two days later and not only was his bid less expensive than the others, but Mr. Marshall also included choices and upgrades that the others did not. One thing I really liked was that in the bid a list of other addresses was included of jobs that had been done by this company so that I could drive around and look at the workmanship and speak to the owners about Value Roofing's performance. From the time of choosing this company to the completion of the job every aspect of his workmanship was performed at the highest level. At the close of every day he and his crew not only cleaned up, they also took a magnetic broom and policed the area for stray nails. Thank you Bill Marshall and Value Roofing for a job WELL DONE! PS I have also received many complements from my neighbors on how wonderful my house now looks!

From my first contact to the completion of the roof, Bill Marshall and Value Roofing have amazed me with their professionalism, superb customer service and great work product. A roof is a major home improvement, and I was in a big project with roof, siding and windows. Bill's expertise extended far beyond roofing and he was a huge help to me selecting colors, type of shingles, energy saving extras and even landscaping! He was patient as I tried to decide what color for a fresh new look (changing my mind more than a few times) and provided many addresses to view different colors and shingles so I could make a decision based on more than a sample shingle. The installation was on schedule and the crew was polite and efficient. The final product was beyond my expectations. I do have the best roof in the neighborhood. Talk about lucky! Received roof damage after a recent thunder-boomer, which tore the ventilation strip of the apex. Stumbling across Value Roofing was the lucky part. Bill Marshall and one of his crew (Gabriel) showed up during their lunch hour on the same day called, replaced the vent and went above and beyond securing flashing and replacing a second vent at no extra charge. The rate was reasonable, work professional, and company is one I will highly recommend.

Value Roofing recently reroofed our house and we couldn't be more pleased. When we had a question on the best color to compliment our brick and trim, Bill Marshall showed us several homes in the neighborhood that had brick and trim close to what we had. It was interesting what different colored roofing can do to bringing particular aspects of a house to light. His crew was very efficient and everyone had his job and knew what it was. Turns out this was not surprising since his crew has been together for several years. Bill was also on site most of the time, so if any questions arose, they were answered immediately. When we realized that we would have to replace our roof prior to the sale of our home, fear entered our hearts. We were afraid of being overcharged and, in this day and age, having a poor quality job done. Value Roofing is a rare find in this day. The job they did was reasonably priced, quality product was used and the job was completed within 8 hours. The area around the home was spotlessly cleaned after the job was completed. You would have never known that a roof had been replaced that day. My wife and I highly recommend Value Roofing for any of your roofing needs.
